✤ Overview
My Desk Matching Guide is a learner‑centred visual support designed for students who struggle with desk organization and often become overwhelmed by clutter around their workspace. By showing clear visual models of what the desk should look like during work time, after eating, and before going home, the guide removes uncertainty and helps the learner understand exactly how much to tidy and what “clean” looks like. The guide measures 6 × 9 cm, making it easy to place on the learner’s desk for consistent daily use.
✤ How This Visual Support Helps the Learner
Instead of relying on repeated verbal prompting—which can increase cognitive load, heighten frustration, and lead to escalation—adults can simply point to My Desk Matching Guide. This reduces the learner’s need to process ongoing instructions and allows them to independently compare and match their desk to the visual expectation. The guide minimizes conflict, prevents overwhelm, and supports a calm, regulated learning environment where the learner can stay focused, confident, and successful.
